I don't find it weird at all... to me it is very narrative...
And the title... you and the titles... obviously both photo and title opens up to many associations that is out there... as well to those that is in here...

What an engaging shot . . superficially simple but containing cryptic signage. I really do like the way you see these things and take them further than the photography.
